Learn about the heart and vision behind The Domsy Foundation, and how personal passion for giving back helped shape our mission.
John is a University of Toronto graduate (1975) and completed the Canadian Securities Course in 1990. His professional background spans corporate leasing, banking cash management, vehicle reimbursement, and SaaS technology. In 1999, he founded CarData, growing it into a respected name in the industry. John has lived in Toronto, Etobicoke, Oakville, Vancouver, and Florida. A proud father of three and grandfather to four, he values both business success and family life. He now devotes time to charitable work, always accompanied by his two beloved dogs.
Nicole graduated from York University in 1980 and built a career in retail and high-end fashion before moving into the telecom sector and becoming a partner in CarData. In 1996, she launched Divine Intervention, a successful craft candle business that blended creativity with entrepreneurship. She has lived in Toronto, Etobicoke, Oakville, Vancouver, and Florida. Nicole is a proud mother of three and grandmother to four, and finds joy in supporting her family and community. Alongside her husband John and their two dogs, she now focuses her energy on charitable giving and meaningful local impact.

A Symbol of Our Mission
Our logo reflects the vision and mission of The Domsy Foundation. The raven symbolizes wisdom, guidance, and resilience, showing our role in supporting local organizations across the Halton region. Its circular frame represents unity and connection, reminding us that lasting impact comes from working together. The circle at the heart of the raven stands for focus and purpose, keeping our efforts centered on strengthening community. The three points along the wing suggest growth in three directions: supporting children and youth, caring for vulnerable populations, and empowering local charities. Together these elements form a mark that is both distinct and deeply meaningful, carrying forward the values and purpose of our foundation.
