The Mission
At The Domsy Foundation, we don’t just write cheques and walk away; we look for the stories that prove our support matters. This year, our partnership with the Humane Society of Oakville, Milton & Halton (HSOMH) has been about one thing: keeping families together.
The Year by the Numbers
2025 was a year of heavy lifting for the HSOMH team. With the cost of living still squeezing our community, the demand for support has been higher than ever.
140,000+ Pet Meals: Through the Pet Food Bank, HSOMH distributed nearly 140,000 meals this year. That isn’t just dog food; it’s a lifeline that prevents families from having to make the heartbreaking choice to surrender a pet simply because they can’t afford to feed them.
Community Strength: The “Giving Tuesday” campaign saw incredible momentum, with anonymous donors matching gifts to double the impact. It proves that when this community sees a need, we step up.
The Story
Meet Lolo Statistics are necessary, but they don’t wag their tails. To truly understand the work HSOMH does, you need to see the individuals whose lives are saved. The team shared the journey of a dog named Lolo with us. Lolo’s story represents hundreds of animals that came through the shelter’s doors this year needing medical care, patience, and a second chance.
Looking Ahead As we close out the year, HSOMH is evolving. They just launched a brand new website to better connect pets with their future families and showcase their expanded programs. We are proud to stand behind a team that turns compassion into action every single day, and we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2026
